Jeremy Ballard

Jeremy, originally from Texas, has been a follower of Jesus since the age of five, when his parents led him to Christ. In 2008, he surrendered to ministry and later graduated from Liberty University in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Religion, focusing on Evangelism and Church Planting.

Shortly after graduating, Jeremy met his wife, Sushma, in India. At the time, Sushma was serving in China but had returned to India to visit her family and renew her visa. Her passion for China was so strong that she made it clear to Jeremy that any relationship with her would require sharing that passion. After much prayer and fasting, Jeremy felt called to join her mission. He moved to China in 2013, and they were married that same year.

In 2016, Jeremy and Sushma founded Jesus Home Ministries, but it wasn’t until 2018 that they relocated to India for full-time ministry. That same year, they planted a house fellowship to disciple and equip believers in their community. In 2020, they spent a brief period serving in Malaysia, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they returned to India and continued their ministry work there.

In 2021, Jeremy began teaching at a seminary in India, further investing in the training of future leaders. He graduated with his Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership Coaching in 2024.

They are now transitioning back to the U.S., where they plan to focus on church planting. Jeremy currently serves as a hospice chaplain, offering spiritual care to individuals and families during life’s most difficult moments. In addition to his chaplaincy, he provides coaching sessions with The Counseling Cove PLLC.

Jeremy and Sushma co-authored the book Is Your Home a Jesus Home?, which was published in 2020. Jeremy also completed his second book, The Lordship of Jesus Christ, which was published in 2024.
